We did make a family visit to my dad's grave last weekend, which is always a nice way to start the new year. Though Kian never got to meet my dad, he'll see pictures of him and say, "jee jee" (grandpa in Japanese for babies). Kian's actually picked up a handful of words lately, though we may be the only ones that actually understand it. Fish, owl, baabaa (grandma), Leon, and tree... okay, it's not so many but it's a start. :)

Visiting Papa
Just when we thought we had rung in the New Year, it's already mid-January. We've been in relaxed and kick-back mode this month. We're starting to like waking up with nothing scheduled to do, and just going for leisurely walks or bike rides in our hood and that's it!
