No junk for Baby LG!!

A beautiful Saturday with so much happening in the city this weekend. We ended up checking out the annual "yard sale" at the US Embassy compound, just 5 min. drive from our house. Basically, it's a HUGE garage sale held by all the families who live on the compound, mostly of junk, but we had heard that there's TONS of baby stuff and one of our friends scored an Aprica stroller for $100 (usually goes for around 500-600USD) so that's where we headed down to this morning. Just as we predicted, tons and tons of junk...and lots of baby stuff...everything from clothes, toys, books, bouncers, car seats.. the whole works. But after checking out some of car seats and bouncers, and imagining the drool of some random baby all over the  cushion, we decided to get new stuff for Baby LG, in the hopes that we'll be able to re-use it for our second addition later on. So Mar came home with a brand new Trivial Pursuit and I came home with a box of Girl Scout cookies and 2 Bearstein Bears books. I found a 1000yen bill while we were walking around which basically covered everything we bought!! Lucky day!

Jan LG, can you put a reminder for us in our 2011 calendar to go to this next year because they have tons and tons of toys for 1-3 year olds.. perfect for Baby LG next year.

We also had some friends stop by the house to meet Maddie. We all work together and the girl ont he right grew up with 2 bulldogs so she was dying to get some wrinkle action from Mads!
